DBR Staff Writer Published 05 March 2013

Dr Pepper Snapple Group has agreed to re-acquire distribution rights for Snapple brand of tea and juice drinks, and several other non-carbonated beverage brands from Mondeléz International in seven countries across the Asia-Pacific.

As part of this agreement, the company will have the rights to distribute Snapple in Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea.

The soft drink giant will also have distribution rights for Mott's, Mr & Mrs T, Clamato, Mistic, Holland House and Yoo-hoo in Australia.

Dr Pepper Snapple Group beverage concentrates and Latin America beverages president Jim Johnston said that the new partnership will enable the company to explore opportunities for expanding the presence of Snapple and other non-carbonated brands in Asia-Pacific.

"Obtaining the distribution rights to Snapple and other brands in Asia-Pacific gives us a foothold in a growing market that we can tap for future development over time," Johnston added.
