Get Juiced selects Metis Partners to sell intellectual property assets
Get Juiced, a Scottish smoothie and fruit juice maker, has chosen Metis Partners to support the marketing and sale of the intellectual property assets, including the complete production line of the company.
The Stirling-based firm collapsed into liquidation due to cash crunch and ceased trading in July 2013.
Johnston Carmichael, the Provisional Liquidator of Get Juiced, said that interest had been expressed in the company's brand and tangible assets.
Metis Partners chief executive Stephen Robertson said: "Get Juiced is a terrific brand with an enormous potential in a very lucrative market."
"I am sure its sale will attract considerable UK and international interest," Robertson added.
Get Juiced brand's are sold by Asda and Aldi, and hotel, cocktail bar and restaurant customers include Gleneagles Hotel, The Old Course Hotel, VooDoo Rooms and Bar Soba.
The company is associated with long lasting freshness through its use of innovative Advanced Microwave Technologies (AMT) equipment capable of heating liquids on an industrial scale using microwaves to pasteurise fruit juices and smoothies.
The beverages are free from additives, preservatives, added sugars and homogenisation and are unique in having a shelf life at least four times greater than any competitor products, claims the company.
