White Rock Beverages acquires Fizzy Lizzy juice brand
US-based White Rock Beverages has acquired sparkling juice brand Fizzy Lizzy of New Jersey to expand its portfolio of healthy beverages.
Fizzy Lizzy beverages are created using 60% fruit juices and 40% sparkling water without any added sugars or corn syrup. The beverages are available in various flavors including Grapefruit, Cranberry, Raspberry Lemon, Fuji Apple, Yakima Grape and Tangerine Passion Fruit.
The company distributes the beverages to over 20 states at cafes and natural foods retailers such as Fresh Direct, Whole Foods, Fairway, Dean & Deluca and 'Wichcraft.
Fizzy Lizzy founder Liz Morrill said, "White Rock's reputation, resources, and employees are the perfect springboard to take Fizzy Lizzy to the next level and make our delicious, thirst-quenching and groundbreaking drinks available to millions more Americans."
White Rock Beverages president Larry Bodkin said that the acquisition of Fizzy Lizzy will increase the company's efforts to produce and offer healthier beverages.
"Over the past decade we have shifted our attention to increasing our production of seltzers, mixers and pure cane sugar drinks, as consumers have opted for lighter and healthier beverages," Bodkin added.
White Rock offers over 12 different flavors of seltzers and mixers and a wide range of specialty beverages that are available in the US and several overseas markets. It also offers its drinks in reduced-size bottles and cans.
